Every four years the Present Party puts together a party platfrom at the Present National Convention which state the ideas and beliefs of the whole party. The Present Party's current platform opens doors for many people who might have been excluded from past opportunities. The Present Party also attempts to build bridges rather than slander other campaigns.
Economy
The Present Party believes that the best way to simulate the economy of the United States is to develop a strong foundation. The working class needs to be able to comfortably support themselves and their families. This can be achieved by raising the minimum wage. This raise will allow for more money to go back into the economy by allowing a better quality of life. The tax system also needs to be restructured so that the top 1% or even 0.1% of the people pay for the government like the rest of the populous. Our current deficit can be reduced by an audit of the US’s government spending, so that unneeded projects to not receive funding, while needy projects, get none.
Immigration
The Present Party believes in a path to citizen ship for some illegal immigrants. This option would be open to those who have not committed a crime. If they have lived in the US for more than 5 years, they would receive a shorter citizen ship test, and I they have lived in the US for less than 5 years there is still an option to become a citizen it is just would be more rigorous. The Present Party also believes that the overall system of becoming a citizen needs to be overhauled to allow for a more diverse group of people to enter the country and become citizens. Opening to many people would allow the US to grow and strengthen.
Gun Control
The Present Party believes that there needs to be a more unified registry for who own guns. This would allow for a background check to happen at a seller in mere seconds. This proposed unified system would work similar to, or in coordination with, depending on the state, one’s driver’s license. It would pose no inconvenience to gun owners and would only act as a way to verify that guns to not end up in the wrong hands. The Present Party also believes that Schools should be a gun free zone. This would include people with concealed carry permeants to protect the children inside.
Marijuana
The Present Party believes that marijuana should be legalized nationwide. The caveat to this statement is that it should only be used for medicinal purposes. Marijuana is known to have some healing properties for some time now. These properties should be allowed to be used by everyone who needs them. The medicinal use of marijuana should also only be allowed in specific locations in order to protect children from getting addicted to it. The rollout of legalized marijuana should be handled with the utmost care, and scrutiny.
Child Care
The Present Party believes that the child in a situation of divorce must be cared for no matter who is at fault in the breakup of the relationship. The parent who does not have custody must pay child support, but this parent will be able to determine where that money is going to help the child’s life. The Present Party also believes that the US adoption, and foster care systems need to be overhauled in order to not get children “lost in the system.” This would allow for an easier way for children to get adopted, and have a new family.
